General terms and conditions: Each reservation confirms your acceptance of our general terms and conditions as described on this page.

Arrival and departure

• Check-in: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Check-out: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
• Early check-in: Would you like access to your room before 4:00 PM? Please request an early check-in. This will be accommodated subject to availability. A key will be provided via the key box.
• Late check-in: Would you like to check in after 7:00 PM? You may use our key safe free of charge. Please inform us in advance.
• Late check-out: Late check-out is available upon request for a fee of €20.

Payments

• Payments must be made after reservation via bank transfer to our account number or through our online payment platform.
• The price of an overnight stay does not include breakfast unless stated otherwise. Breakfast can be added at €18 per person per breakfast.

Non-smoking

• We are a 100% non-smoking accommodation.
• Smoking inside the building or on the emergency staircase is strictly prohibited and will result in a fine of €200.
• Smoking is permitted on the terrace and in the garden, provided it does not disturb other guests.

Accessibility

• We do not have ground-floor rooms; therefore, our rooms are not accessible to wheelchair users.
• We do not have wide door openings.
• There is a step at the entrance of the building.

Pets

• We love animals and allow dogs provided the owner informs us in advance.
• If a dog causes damage, the actual cost of the damage will be charged to the owner.

Liability

• Herenhuis1919 cannot be held liable for theft, damage or loss of belongings in or around the building or in/on the parking area.
• You are always responsible for your personal belongings.
• A cleaning fee of €200 will be charged if the smoking ban is violated.
• Damage to or theft of rooms or property belonging to Herenhuis1919 will be charged.

Capacity

• Rooms 1 and 2 accommodate a maximum of 2 persons; Room 3 accommodates a maximum of 4 persons.
• If more guests are staying than stated in the reservation, additional charges will apply.

Cancellation policy

• Free cancellation is possible up to 7 days before arrival. If a reservation is cancelled less than 7 days before the arrival date, 100% of the total price will be charged.
• Any dispute regarding the validity, interpretation or execution of the agreement, or related invoicing, falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the district of Ypres (Ieper).

Concerning COVID-19 or similar pandemics

• The above cancellation conditions always remain applicable. If the Belgian government imposes a domestic travel ban due to COVID-19 or if a decision is taken at municipal level, no charges will be applied during the period of the measure. If national borders are closed, all international travel may be cancelled free of charge. Herenhuis1919 reserves the right to cancel a reservation free of charge at any time in case of force majeure or unforeseen circumstances.
